Welcome to FRIDAYSOUQ. Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully. By using the website https://ai-fridaysooq.net or the mobile app, you are deemed to have accepted them, together with our Privacy Policy, Content Policy, Refund and Cancellation Policy and Account and Data Deletion Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or the app.

FRIDAYSOUQ is a classifieds platform that offers digital advertising space to its users (sellers, buyers, service providers and service seekers) in the State of Kuwait, and is operated by AL BAYAREQ AL MALAKIYA GENERAL TRADING & CONTRACTING CO.. FRIDAYSOUQ is not a party to any deal between users. It gives no warranty of any kind on any product or service advertised, on any sale or purchase, or on how accurately a product or service is described or its quality, and it is not liable for any claim for compensation for a loss arising from them.

1. Ad placement rules

An ad can be posted only after the user registers with a verified Kuwait mobile number. Browsing does not need an account.
You must be at least 4 years old. If you are under the age of majority set by Kuwaiti law (21 years), you may use paid services and make deals only with the consent, and under the responsibility, of your parent or guardian.
The advertiser must place the ad in the correct section and enter its title, description, price and images correctly, without any misrepresentation.
The advertiser must own the goods, provide the service, or be authorised to offer it.
One item per ad. The same or a similar ad may not be posted more than once; duplicates are removed without notice.
Ads for companies, shops and businesses are published from a business account, through the commercial ads provided for them.
An ad must not contain illegal, immoral or obscene language or images, and no ad may aim to defame a person or an institution.
Advertising weapons of any kind, licensed or unlicensed, is prohibited.
Selling the endangered plants and animals listed in the CITES convention is prohibited, in compliance with the decisions and regulations of the Environment Public Authority.
Placing an ad that breaks the laws of the State of Kuwait is prohibited, in particular Law No. 63 of 2015 on Combating Information Technology Crimes and Law No. 38 of 2002 regulating the advertising of health-related products. Ads for medicines and aphrodisiacs are prohibited.
Under Law No. 9 of 2001 on the misuse of telephone communications and bugging devices, displaying or selling bugging devices, or anything that incites the misuse of telephone devices, is prohibited.
Smoking ads of every kind, regular or electronic, are prohibited.
Ads for wines and spirits of every kind, and for drugs and cannabis of every kind, are prohibited.
Ads for gambling, betting, witchcraft or sorcery are prohibited.
Ads for domestic workers of every kind are prohibited, as are false employment ads, hiring labour to homes by the hour, anything connected with human trafficking, and the sale of residence permits, visas and sponsorship.
Ads for paying off debts and cashing are prohibited, as are unlicensed ads that attract investment or call for investment or commercial partnership.
Ads for furnished apartments rented by the hour or by the day are prohibited, except from companies licensed to do so.
Lawyers may not advertise themselves through the Service for self-promotion or to acquire clients.
An advertiser of craft works or professional services must hold a licence from the official authorities to practise the activity. Users must check the necessary documents and licences before contracting, with no responsibility on FRIDAYSOUQ. If it becomes clear that there is no licence, the ad is cancelled and the official authorities are given the advertiser's data whenever they request it.
Reserving ads, or pinned and promoted placements, in order to sell them to another party is prohibited.
Users must respect other visitors and users. We have no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. The details are in our Content Policy.
The advertising user alone bears any legal liability or compensation arising from the ad, with no liability on FRIDAYSOUQ.
The user acknowledges having read all the special and general conditions for using the Service and accepts them in full, and bears criminal and civil legal responsibility for any damage to the Service, to those in charge of it or to others when breaking the laws, regulations and decisions that govern advertising and all other laws in force in the country. Entering or using the Service is an acknowledgement and undertaking to that effect.
FRIDAYSOUQ may block any phone number, device or user that uses the Service to offend or harm others, for illegal purposes, or without complying with these Terms.

2. Removing violating ads, and ad expiry

Every ad runs for a period shown in the app before you publish. It is removed automatically when the period ends unless it is renewed.
Ads are reviewed by automated tools, including AI, and by our reviewers, before and after publication.
Non-complying ads are removed without notifying or compensating the user, and the administration may deny a non-complying or abusive user a refund of any remaining balance.
You can report any ad or commercial ad from its page, and report or block any user from the chat. We aim to review reports within 24 hours.
FRIDAYSOUQ may block any user who places a non-complying ad or offends others in messages or chat, from using the Service temporarily or permanently.
If you believe a decision was wrong, contact support and we will review it.

3. Financial rights

The price and duration of a paid ad depend on the section it is posted in. They are shown in Kuwaiti Dinar (KWD) before you confirm, and nothing is charged without your confirmation.
The cost of any add-on, such as pinning, promotion or extension, is added to the cost of the ad.
Paid services are paid from your wallet balance, or added to your bill where postpaid billing is offered. Online payment is used only to add credit to your wallet.
A wallet top-up is paid on FRIDAYSOUQ's own payment page through Hesabe, a payment company licensed in Kuwait, by KNET or card, or by bank transfer where it is offered. We do not see your card details.
When you pay by KNET, keep a record of the payment. If the amount was deducted from your bank account but not credited to your account with us, it is refunded or credited only on evidence of the deduction.
The wallet is a prepaid balance for FRIDAYSOUQ advertising services only. It is not a bank account and earns no interest. After credit is purchased, the remaining balance is not refunded in cash and cannot be transferred to another person.
A refund is given only where a technical failure in our system caused the user to lose the amount, where the amount was charged twice, or where the law requires it.
The cost of non-complying ads is not refunded.
We do not guarantee a specific number of views or level of visibility when you buy a promotion or bundle. That depends on the section, the quality of the ad and the demand for it at the time; some sections are seasonal.
Postpaid billing: where we offer it, you may use paid services up to a credit limit and pay later. Charges become due on the date shown in Billing and Wallet. If an amount stays unpaid after its due date, we may pause your paid features and publishing until it is settled.
We collect amounts automatically from your wallet only if you have turned this on, and you can turn it off at any time.
For scheduled promotions and campaigns we may place a hold on the amount when you book and capture it at the start. If the booking is rejected, cancelled or fails before it starts, the hold is released.
Fees are for advertising services for goods and services that are sold and delivered outside the app. They are not a payment towards any item listed.
Reward points are a promotional benefit with no cash value. They cannot be sold or transferred, and we may change or end the programme and cancel points obtained through fraud or error.
More detail is in our Refund and Cancellation Policy. Nothing here takes away a right that the consumer protection law of the State of Kuwait gives you.

4. Privacy and sharing users' data

FRIDAYSOUQ protects the confidentiality of users' data. Your data is shown only within the limits you choose when placing each ad, by entering contact details such as a phone number in the fields provided. What we collect and how we use it is set out in our Privacy Policy.

The user agrees that their data may be given to the competent authorities if they lawfully request it from FRIDAYSOUQ, where the user placed an ad that breaks the laws in force in Kuwait, abused others through messages or chat, or broke these Terms in any way.

FRIDAYSOUQ cooperates with the competent authorities of the State of Kuwait, including the Electronic Crimes Control Department, and may notify them of ads that break the law. Users must not infringe the intellectual property rights or trademarks of others, or offend any user or person. If it is proven to us that a user broke these Terms, we may give the affected parties that user's data on request, as the law allows.

You are responsible for keeping your registered phone number, password, PIN and passkeys. Sign-in is protected by SooqKey, and biometric checks such as Face ID happen on your device only. If you lose access to your registered number, FRIDAYSOUQ is not responsible for the consequences for your ads, your chats or your unused balance.

5. Intellectual property rights

AL BAYAREQ AL MALAKIYA GENERAL TRADING & CONTRACTING CO. owns all intellectual property rights in the app and the website and their contents, including data, images, designs, trademarks, the FRIDAYSOUQ name and the Al-Hudhud assistant.
Extracting the content or data of the Service, in whole or in part, by automated means is prohibited, as is using it in any other work, including it in any database, or reselling, distributing or modifying it.
Reverse-engineering the app or disassembling its software to reach the source code or the structure of the Service is prohibited.
Any attempt to do so is an infringement of intellectual property rights that is punishable by law.

6. Rights in ads and images

You keep ownership of your content. By uploading an ad and its images and videos to the Service you give FRIDAYSOUQ a free, non-exclusive licence to host, display, copy, adapt (for example resize, translate or summarise) and reuse them in running and marketing the Service.

7. AI features

The Service offers AI features, including the Al-Hudhud assistant, AI-assisted listing creation, price guidance and image checks. Their results are generated automatically and may be incomplete or wrong. They are suggestions, not professional, legal or financial advice. You are responsible for checking your ad before you publish it and for every action you confirm.

8. Dealing with other users, and limits of liability

Deals are made directly between users, at their own risk. Inspect the item, check documents and meet in a safe public place. Never send money in advance to someone you do not know, and never share verification codes or card details.
Verification badges show that we checked certain information at a point in time. They are not a guarantee of a user's conduct.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from a deal, dispute or contact between users. Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim arose.
The Service shows third-party ads and links to outside services such as maps and payment pages. We are not responsible for their content or practices.
You can delete your account at any time from the app, as described in our Account and Data Deletion Policy. Amounts you owe remain due.

9. App Store terms

If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store: these Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it, and is not responsible for any claim relating to the app, including product liability, legal compliance, consumer protection or intellectual property claims. If the app fails to meet any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple for a refund of any purchase price paid to Apple for the app; Apple has no other warranty obligation. You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a government embargo and are not on any list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. You must also follow the App Store's own terms of use.

10. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kuwait. Please contact us first so that we can try to resolve any dispute. If it cannot be resolved, the courts of the State of Kuwait have jurisdiction.

11. Modifying the Terms and Conditions

FRIDAYSOUQ may modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Modifications take effect once posted in the app or on the website. Users should read these Terms carefully and regularly to review any modification. Continuing to use the Service after a modification is express approval of it.

12. Language

These Terms are published in Arabic and English. If the two versions differ, the Arabic version prevails.
